He is the founder and Director (AKA Chief Ticketing Scientist) of Ticketlab, an online e-ticketing service for venues, businesses, and event organisers who want something straightforward, affordable, and actually pleasant to use. Riley built the platform himself: concept, design, architecture, backend, and front end, and has grown it into a lean, family-run business supporting thousands of events across the UK and beyond.
Ticketlab has completed the British Library’s BIPC startup and scale-up programmes, and Riley learned plenty along the way about building a business sustainably whilst holding down a day job. He is Senior Staff Engineer for Site Experiences at the John Lewis Partnership.
