Jen’s journey into entrepreneurship began unexpectedly in 2009, driven by a desire for flexibility and creativity after becoming a parent. This quickly evolved into a thriving digital marketing agency. Recognised as one of the Top 100 women leaders in business in 2021 for her innovative approach to digital marketing and dedication to community involvement, Jen’s career took another pivotal turn in 2023. Embracing her passion for coaching and mentoring, she became an accredited Executive Coach and Mentor, further maximising her creativity and practical insights to support others.

Drawing on her own lived experiences with physical disabilities, ADHD and Autism, Jen brings valuable insights into inclusion, accessibility, and neurodiversity. She is known for creatively using metaphors and analogies to help individuals and businesses discover fresh perspectives. With a background enriched by diverse professional roles and extensive volunteer work, Jen seamlessly blends practical business knowledge, genuine empathy, and curiosity into her coaching.

Jen champions practical neuroscience and coaching techniques to support clients in thriving professionally and personally.  She mixes these techniques with her ongoing studies for the ILM Level 7 in Coaching Supervision at The University of the West of England – and then adapting them to support neurodivergent individuals.

As ‘The Curious Mentor,’ she works with her own clients and collaborates with Small Business Britain on a number of projects; including The Lilac Review – working with the government to create the change that is needed for disabled and neurodiverse people to access entrepreneurship and work, The Maple Review – looking at what needs to change to enable entrepreneurs from deprived areas to become successful, their Small & Mighty programme and a number of other initiatives.  She was shortlisted for The Small Awards in 2023 and is on the Advisory Board of The LILAC Centre at Anglia Ruskin University.

As well as working as The Curious Mentor, also leads a collective consultancy, Those Interesting People, a neuroinclusive team of professionals who together thrive on variety whilst all enjoying unpicking, solving, releasing, enlightening, untangling and facilitating the conversations that help people (and the businesses they’re in) do better.  All whilst appreciating great cake.

Outside work, Jen remains deeply committed to community involvement. She is a trustee of the London Titans Wheelchair Basketball Club and a qualified table official aspiring to officiate internationally. Jen is also a dedicated Girlguiding leader of over 30 years, balancing these commitments with a love for kindness, playing in a brass band and quality time with her family.
