Nikolas works for Signal, a diversified technology group in ocean-going shipping, where he runs Signal Ventures, overseeing investments, M&A and strategic partnerships. Nikolas brings together a combination of tech background, general management, as well as investment and entrepreneurial experience. He is a former Associate Partner at McKinsey & Co where as part of the investment management team of New Ventures unit he worked alongside a portfolio of 40 startups and scale-ups. As a strategy consultant at McKinsey, Nikolas worked with C-suite of companies across the transportation, travel and logistics sectors globally. He was the co-founder of a software company in air transportation and the venture leader of a maritime startup incubated by McKinsey. Nikolas holds a PhD from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at M.I.T. and an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
